Our History
Miss Charolais USA and the Charolais Princess are the national representatives for the American-International Charolais Association and the Charolais Breed.
The Miss Charolais USA program originally started in October of 1965 by the late Jerry Litton. He once envisioned offering an opportunity for our young leaders to showcase their talent, knowledge and desire to represent our great Charolais breed. Undergoing many changes over the years with a transition from queen to ambassador and now back to queen, his once simple idea has blossomed into an opportunity for our young ladies to earn scholarship money while giving back to the breed and industry they love. We are excited to return to the glamour and pageantry this program initially started with.
The program grew with the addition of the Charolais Princess in October of 2024. This new program offers even younger ladies in the breed an opportunity to get involved.
